Status and more finished pages

Well, we have not heard a peep about the position that Dave interviewed for. So I am not holding out much hope. It would have been nice to have been at least told that he was not picked for the position. But we have not heard a word.
Here is another set of scrapbook pages that I finished.

This is a information page I put together about all the next pages. It is of a trip that hubby and I took to Rudisheim, Germany. It has a bit about the history of the area and where it is located. I cut the house out using a design from the silhouette library. The paper and the word memories are from the blue awning set of papers.

Proud

I am so proud of my bro and his family. They just had their family portraits done. They are so good looking.

Scrapbook Pages

I finally got around to uploading some of the scrapbook pages have been working on. This is asset from a trip to NewOrleans we took just before we moved over here.

I used my silhouette to cut out the lamp post, the artist's board, the word New Orleans, and the corner flourish. The pink border on the first page I cut out with a Martha Stewart deep edge border punch. The rest of the embellies are from prima and Joleans.

Interview part 2

David had a couple of emails in his box this morning. One of them was from one of the men that interviewed him telling him that organization was not under the hiring freeze. They get their money from another part of congress. So that is good. And the other was from the lady that initially contacted him about the interview. She was asking for his supervisors email. He gave that to her and just before work ended today his supervisor received a email asking him what he thought that Dave would bring to the job if they offered it to him. What he thought of Dave. So it is sounding more and more like we might have a chance of finally getting out of here. But I refuse to count my chickens before they are hatched, this time.
BUT, I have a question for all you scrappers out there. If I do move I will be in temporary quarters for nearly three months and I want to take some of my scrap stuff with me to use until our household goods arrive. What should I take? What would you take if you could only take one large case of supplies with you?

Scrapbook store

Yippie!!! I found a real and true scrapbook store in Frankfurt Germany. Hubby is going to take me today!!!! And guess what??? It is right next door to a Ikea!!!! Grin.
They have a really nice website, but it is all in German, lol

http://www.stempelmeer.de/
and they also have a nice blog... http://www.stempelparadies.de/
Here is some photos of their store..

I think they also just got back from CHA. At least I could understand that from their blog.. hahaha
I am sooo happy to have finally found a scrapstore somewhat close by. It is about an hour and a half away. I know stuff will be slightly more expensive because they have import most of the stuff from the states, but I actually get to see and touch the stuff before I buy. I love to do that. I miss being able to do that. hahaha
We still have not heard anything about the job interview Dave had. He has sent several emails out but all he is getting is the big silence. Oh well.

Hiring Freeze

Dave just found out that the government has enacted a 30 day hiring freeze!!! Not sure what this means for the interview he just had hut it is not looking good. He just sent a email to the organization that he had the interview with but it will be at least a couple of days till we see an answer. They are in the US and when Dave is at work they are not. They will not see the email till after He gets home from work today. Damn damn damn and throw in a SHIT!!!! Sorry about the language but I hate this emotional roller coaster we are on. I broke down in tears last night because I am so fed up with putting my whole damn life on hold. It seems that is all I have ever done.

Temporary

I really hate this temporary feeling. I go to start something and then think, no I should not do that because we might be moving. Dave has been applying for jobs for about 18 months now. We wanted to bring the boys and Robs girlfriend out for Christmas last year. But we kept putting off buying the tickets because we were hoping to be out of here and by the time we decided that we were not, they were wayyyy too expensive. Or, I just bought a few new clothes off the clearance racks and would like to wear them but I am putting that off till we see if anything comes of this job interview. I always like to move and start out in a new place with a couple of new outfits. You can not plan any vacations too far in the future because we keep hoping we might get out of here. I really hate this feeling of temporary living. I have not hung much on the walls here because I do not want to patch tons of holes because we are just renting. I keep buying nice stuff for our house for when we quit moving. Just have it in boxes. You can not throw away any boxes that stuff comes in because you know are just going to have to pack it back up again in a short while. I have a attic FULL of empty boxes!!! We can not buy much heavy furniture because we have to worry about being overweight in our household goods when the military comes to pack and ship us out again. This is just getting really old!!!!

Sorry, just had to vent.

Photos Finally

Ok I was finally able to upload some photos of some cards I have made. The first three are cards I had made for my Dad. The last two are cards I made for a card swap I am in.

I used bazzil card stock for all the elements on here. They were all cut out using my Silhouette. The "grass" was made using a Martha Stewart icicle border punch upside down. They are also I. his team colors. The Auburn Tigers.

All the elements of this were cut using my Silhouette.

All the elements and text on this were cut out using my silhouette.

This was a card I made for a card swap I am in. I used my Gypsy and smiley cards cart to cut this out.

This card was the last card I made for my card swap. I used my Cricut and the Snow Friends cart to cut out the snow woman.
I will have some scrapbook layouts to post next.

Interview time and when it rains it pours!!!!

I am sitting in the car in the parking lot waiting for my docs appt. I had to come in to work with Dave. It was really icey outside this morning!!! The ground was like a ice rink. Shadow would NOT go outside to do his business before we left this morning.
Dave's interview is set for 6pm tomorrow our time. So he will be stuck on base till after then.
I just found out from our tenet in Mississippi that there is a 6' wide 2' deep sink hole in the side yard of the house. And this is on top of having to spend $200 to replace the gas logs in the house. Damn, every time we turn around lately there is something that needs to be replaced. Let's see what we have replaced so far, garbage disposal, garage door opener, pool pump and leaf bag. Damn!!!!!

But my new pc, speakers, replacement gypsy, and four new Cricut carts arrived two days ago. It was like Christmas all over again. I will start posting pics of all the projects that I have accomplished in the next day or so. Yippie. I know you are prob tired of reading about all my life probes and just want to see some crafts!!!! hahahaha
